Thomas Fairclough has cultivated a love for graphic design, fine art, and architecture through a lifetime of artistic expression. Raised in a creatively rich environment, he was influenced by his mother, an artist, and his father, an avid photographer. Additionally, Thomas was inspired at a young age by other relatives who specialized in landscape paintings. These early encounters with art form the foundation of Thomas’s lifelong passion to create. At age sixteen, Thomas began working for an architectural firm, an experience that shaped his understanding of design and provided invaluable skills that would influence his professional path. He went on to earn a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Utah, graduating with honors. Recognized for his contributions to the field, the University later named him a Distinguished Alumnus for the Department of Art & Art History. With a career spanning over 40 years, Thomas has been a driving force in brand design, art, and architectural solutions for Fortune 50 and 500 companies as a partner at Antista Fairclough. His work has garnered numerous national and international accolades, including Clio Awards, Mobius Packaging Awards, and the International Billboard “Billie Award,” among others. The personal fine art and prints featured on this website mark a departure from his corporate brand-building work, allowing him to explore his passion for art, travel, architecture, and photography. His pieces blend realism and abstraction, incorporating playful symbols, figures, letterforms, and iconic architectural elements. Designed to evoke curiosity and invite personal interpretation, his work reflects a lifelong dedication to artistic exploration.

Thomas has extensive experience in various areas of design, art and architecture. Thomas received his BFA from the University of Utah, with honors in Graphic design. In 1994 Tom Antista and Thomas launched Antista Fairclough Design in Atlanta, Georgia. Antista Fairclough created distinctive brands and corporate identities, packaging systems and illustrations for fortune 50 and 500 companies. Thomas’s work has received numerous accolades nationally and internationally, including Clio awards, London International award, Mobius awards, International Billboard “Billie Award”. Thomas’s professional career has spanned over 30 years creating motivating design, art and Architecture solutions. Thomas was bestowed the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Utah.
